BankRoll Books was created by two friends that were looking for a quick way to make a little extra cash. But long work weeks made a second job virtually impossible. Like many people, our first thought was, “What can we sell?” We wanted to hold on to most of our valuable items (TV’s, computers, etc.) and besides, we weren’t exactly regulars at our local pawn shop. While searching our apartments, we realized we had tons of books left over from college. We didn’t just have textbooks either, we had all kinds of books. We talked to our parents and friends who all said they had lots of books sitting around their homes and apartments too.

We tried selling our books on the major online marketplaces and auction sites but quickly realized that this was time consuming and required a lot of patience. We had to accurately list each book, research what they were worth and price them appropriately, constantly check our emails for messages from potential customers, make trips to the store for packing supplies and make even more trips to the post office. What a headache.

After developing a bit of expertise in the used book selling process, we wanted to provide a service to our friends and family that would get them with quick cash for their books. After many sleepless nights, BR Books was born!
